The G90 BMW M5 is the sixth-generation super-sedan and the first M5 built as a plug-in hybrid, sharing its M HYBRID drive system with the XM. A 4.4-liter S68 twin-turbo V8 (577 hp) combines with a gearbox-integrated electric motor (194 hp) for a peak system output of 717 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, channeled through an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic and M xDrive all-wheel drive.
