The base 718 Cayman is the entry point to Porsche's mid-engined two-seat coupe line, built on the 982 platform. Its rear-of-cockpit 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four produces 300 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a standard six-speed manual or optional seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. Porsche quotes a 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds with PDK (4.5 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package) and a 171-mph top track speed. The 718 line was discontinued after the 2025 model year ahead of an electric successor.
