The 2025 BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupe is the volume long-range model of BMW's first electric 4 Series-bodied fastback, built on the CLAR architecture it shares with the combustion 4 Series Gran Coupe (G26). A single electrically excited synchronous motor on the rear axle produces 335 hp (250 kW) and 317 lb-ft, drawing on an 81.5-kWh usable (83.9-kWh gross) lithium-ion pack for an EPA-rated 318 miles of range and 112 MPGe combined. BMW quotes 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and a 118-mph top speed, while a slippery 0.24 drag coefficient helps it stretch every kilowatt-hour. It is the rational, rear-drive sweet spot of the i4 line beneath the all-wheel-drive xDrive40 and the performance M50.
