The 2024 BMW i5 M60 xDrive is the M Performance flagship of BMW's first electric 5 Series, built on the G60-generation CLAR architecture. Twin electrically-excited synchronous motors (one per axle) deliver 442 kW (593 hp) and up to 820 N·m (605 lb-ft) with Sport Boost or M Launch Control, enough for a BMW-claimed 3.8-second 0-100 km/h sprint and a 143-mph top speed. An 84.3-kWh (81.2 kWh usable) battery feeds the system, and the EPA rates the 19-inch car at 256 miles of range. Standard adaptive suspension, a lower ride height, and upgraded brakes separate it from the rear-drive eDrive40 below it.
