The 2025 BMW M4 Competition xDrive Convertible is the open-top member of the G83 M4 range, and in the US it is sold only in this Competition xDrive form. For the 2025 model year BMW lifted the all-wheel-drive cars' S58 twin-turbo inline-six to 523 hp (up from 503), while torque stays at 479 lb-ft, routed through an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic and the rear-biased M xDrive system. The folding hardtop adds roughly 350 lb over the coupe, pushing curb weight to about 4,306 lb, yet MotorTrend still recorded 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Top speed is governed to 155 mph, rising to 174 mph with the optional M Driver's Package.
